Earlier this year, Danielle Bregoli rose to internet fame on the back of an appearance on the Dr Phil Show and an unforgettable catchphrase.

Brought on the show by her mother (who claimed she was “out of control”), the 14-year-old Bregoli became an internet sensation on the back of her confrontational soundbite: “cash me ousside, howbout dah?” Since then, Bregoli has been able to launch her own brand, making an unofficial video for a Kodak Black song with some astonishing production value, and garnering 11 million followers on Instagram. All throughout her time in the spotlight, though, she’s had a couple of brushes with the law. Back in February, she was thrown off of a flight from LAX in California for allegedly punching another passenger, and now, it looks as if she will face legal retribution for a string of incidents that occurred before her star turn on Dr Phil. Bregoli appeared before a judge at Delray Beach in Florida earlier this week, and was sentenced after pleading guilty to numerous criminal charges. Before she taped her appearance on the Dr Phil Show back in September, Danielle Bregoli had several run-ins with the law. Last June, she pleaded guilty to four of them; possession of marijuana, filing a false police report, as well as two counts of grand theft auto. As a result of her plea, Bregoli will avoid jail time for her misdeeds, and was instead sentenced to five years’ probation. A judge recommended she carry out the five years in her native Florida, but gave her the option of spending the time with her mother in California, where she’s in the middle of taping her reality show. The trial was attended by her father, Ira Peskowitz, who in June, spoke of his fear that his daughter was being exploited as a result of her newfound fame, worrying that his daughter might be groomed for a career in pornography.

“My daughter is being exploited. She posts 24-7. It’s controlled by an alleged management team that promotes absurd behavior for a 14-year-old child.I am the only parent in this relationship with Danielle that is trying to see the best thing for this child.”

Bregoli, however, disagrees. The 14-year-old described her father as a “liar”, and criticised him for his role in her life prior to her rise to stardom. “My father has never been active in my life and now that he sees me doing good things, hes just trying to shut it down for no reason.Hes a liar and hes only interested in two things, money and making himself look good. Where was he a year ago when things with me were actually really bad? Hes the worst person in the world and should be happy that Im doing good things for myself and getting great opportunities.” Although pleading guilty has spared her jail time, it won’t be long before Bregoli appears in court once more. She is set to stand before a judge in relation to an unrelated charge of battery in Florida.
